Road to Medical School

Lend a Hand is hosting The Road to Medical School featuring Pharmacy, Optometry, and Dentistry, a free seminar designed to educate about Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, and Optometry. The details about the event is below. This event is mandatory for all LAH members geared towards the health field. But the officers want all LAH members to come out and support. This event is for the public but it is also for our members to learn what it takes to get into the profession that you are interested in! Please advertise this event to your high school or college friends who are thinking about either of these 4 professions. Help make this event a success, plus, it’s FREE.

· Location: University of Houston University Center (UC): Underground

· Learn about Medicine, Pharmacy, Optometry, Dentistry

· Talk to actual 1st year, and 4th year Medical, Optometry, Dental, and Pharmacy students and get tips on what it takes to get in!

· Get great advices on how to prepare in High School and in College: What classes are needed, GPA requirements, extracurricular activities, summer activities, and much much more!

· Learn about scholarships, special acceptance programs, financial aids for college and professional school

· Learn about the MCAT, DAT, PCAT, and OAT

· Learn how to have a good resume at Resume Building Workshop
