8. Why are you in LAH VYO, Inc.: Initially, I joined LAH with a simple reason—to teach people how to lion dance so they can fundraise for poor people in Vietnam. Although I knew that fundraising for people in need is a good deed, I did not know the feeling of compassion and empathy. In 2005, I was given an opportunity to be the representative for Lend a Hand to go to Vietnam. After being away from my birth place for more than a decade, this humanitarian-aid trip allowed me to gain some insights on myself and a better understanding on the current living conditions of people in Vietnam. I am still in LAH because I am grateful for the good life that I have and I want to share this fortune to those who have less of it.
